To mirror the spectacular strategic growth of African Bank, last year we embarked on a refresh of our corporate identity. The journey included the creation of a new look for our frontline ambassadors, our Branch consultants. After an intensive search for the right creative partner, we decided to collaborate with highly sought-after fashion house Khosi Nkosi.
Our style pays homage to the 60s, the decade in which the vision of an African Bank for the people, by the people, serving the people was born. That was the era of Sophiatown and Kofifi style, where bold colours and tailored sihouettes characterised an era in which black people would not let the oppression of the Apartheid regime define them.
Flitting effortlessly between colourful expression and executive chic, these ready-to-wear statement creations are the motifs of a Movement. Tailored silhouettes and striking visual appeal are melded in a look that transitions seamlessly from corporate to confidently casual.
The African Bank LEGACY Collection tells of a story woven into the very fabric of our communities. It is the manifestation of a desire to rise above our circumstances, to challenge norms, and revel in our unique cultural identity.
