We understand the pain of switching debit orders, which is why we’ve made it simple and easy using South Africa’s first automated online debit order switching process! To switch your debit orders, simply register or login to internet banking
Step 1: Under the ‘Bank’ menu, select ‘Debit order switching’.
Step 2: Select the account which you would like to switch your debit orders to.
Step 3: Choose the debit orders you’d like to switch.
You can add any other debit orders you’d like to switch.
Step 4: Review and confirm the debit orders you’d like us to switch on your behalf.
Know the progress of your debit order switching, at any time
Once your debit order switching request have been successfully logged, you may track the debit order switching progress online, at any time.
To track progress, simply login to internet banking. Under the ‘Bank’ menu, select ‘Debit order switching’ to view progress.
Tip: When the status shows as ‘Done’, your debit order has been successfully switched to your MyWORLD account.

It’s your right to stop or dispute any unauthorised debit orders being deducted from your account.

You ask African Bank to reverse your latest transaction.
What does stopping a debit order mean?
You prevent future debit orders from going off on your account. African Bank will stop the debit order for the next three months and it will be active again if it has not been stopped with the third party during that time.
You can stop or dispute debit orders using internet banking or the African Bank App. You don't have to visit a branch.
